Amazing SouthWest trip

Have you eaten Mexican food ? Have you seen beautiful desert scenery? I had never experienced it, but now I have. It is amazing. I spent great time in South West trip in New Mexico and Arizona for one week. My school has trip to learn SouthWest`s history. I leaned many historical places, food such as "Acoma pueblo" before went to the trip. I was attracted by South West area. It has unique culture in the US. In 1680, Revolt of the Pueblo occurred. That was the War between Indian and Spanish in New Mexico. After that, in 1846, Mexican-American war started. The US conquered Mexico. Because of these historical reasons, New Mexico include not only American culture but also Spanish and Mexican culture. I really enjoyed traveling to New Mexico and Arizona include Albuquerque, Santa Fe.

It is the oldest capital city in the US. It was founded 1610. When I see the Santa Fe`s house first time, I was surprised. Every building's shape was not sharp, everything was roundish. They made us soft impression. This building is called “adobe”. It is made by mad and strew. When I arrived it, I went to palace. Palace is place that people who sell many things on the street. There are not only American but also other country's people. I could hear different accent English. It was interesting for me,because I have never seen this style‘s market in the US. There are street and some people show own shop. They sold many things. For example, they sold Turquoise necklaces, earrings, some dolls, plate and so on. People who want to buy items have to negotiate with owner that how much can owner sell. It was fun. I bought many earrings in there. Santafe really excited me.

Next day, I really enjoyed Albuquerque. I went to go to The University of New Mexico. One of the public University in New Mexico in Albuquerque. It was founded in 1889. We went to the Japanese class to speak student who learn Japanese. There were about 15 students. We divided some groups, and talked with American student. I talked the guy who has learned Japanese only for five months. Although he can speak Japanese well. I was impressed,and gave me stimula to study English more hard. He was also interested in Japan, and he is planning to go Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima. I was happy that he is interested in Japanese culture. After that, we have lunch with American student. There are many kind of food in Cafeteria such as cake, pizza, lasagna and so on. All foods were delicious. They made me happy. I could enjoy talking like school life, ideal future, childhood and so on. I really enjoy visiting university.

Beauthful Grand Canyon
Finally, Grand Canyon has amazing view . It is located in Arizona. Grand Canyon was enrolled the World Heritage. That was first time to visit it for me, so I was really looking forward to seeing it. When I saw that scenery first time, I couldn't breath because of beauty. It was amazing, fantastic. It looks like real picture. I will not forget this scenery forever. Final day, we have a free time, so we decided to rend bike and cycling. First I went to the Kolb Studio. Many beautiful Grand Canyon drawing are exhibited in there. There are many kind of drawing such as water color paintings and an oil paintings. We were fascinated by them. After that, we did picnic in the park. We bought many food for it. For example, I bought many snacks, cakes, sandwiches and so on. We talked many things with my group members. I got along with my group members deeply. This time was precious time for me.

In conclusion, I made great memory and I learned about Southwest. I traveled Santa Fe and I could hear another accent English. Because of this,I realized many foreigner live in here. It was interesting for me. In addition to it, I could hear another perspective opinion in The University of New Mexico. It was valuable experience for me. We also went to the Arizona and see beautiful Grand canyon.I had great memory that I never forget. If I have a chance, I want to go the New Mexico and Arizona, and I especially want to see Grand Canyon again.

    The Southwest trip was absolutely amazing because I leaned the culture of the area a lot. I spent 7 days in the southwest and I impressed by people who live there and by their culture. These things were totally different from Japan and the people there preserved their traditions carefully. I talk to a lot of Americans and I saw wonderful nature during the trip. Respectable Voice of The Japanese American

Respectable Voice of The Japanese American Chisato Fujii             When I saw this poem, I felt strong feeling of this poet like “I am an American,” and I also felt this poet’s voice like “Why am I not treated as an American?” I’ve never lived in this period of world war Ⅱ , and of course, I’ve never experienced this suffering and war, but I could feel people’s voice of this period thanks to this poet. Without these Japanese Americans’ voices, I couldn’t feel and understand their feeling and thought. When I understand this poem’s meaning, this poem made me sad, but I also understood Japanese Americans were proud of themselves in the middle of the war. I respect them and am proud.

Memorable Southwest Trip

I had an absolutely amazing time through on the southwest trip with fabulous teachers and friends for one week.  I went to so many special places such as the Grand Canyon. I really wanted to go there and I was able to have a various experiences at the Grand Canyon. In addition, I ate a ton of southwest food and spicy food during this trip. This trip was most memorable for me for three reason for that. Amazing Grand Canyon First, I had many most amazing memories at the Grand Canyon.
