I spent precious four days on this trip. All days were amazingly amazing, and I experienced a lot ofnew things and foods. From now, I will talk about three positive benefits of the Portland Trip.
First of all, I had a lot of opportunities to talk to students who study Japanese or second languages. I went to Colombia Basin College. I got good advice about second language from them. Never give up. If you really want to speak English fluently, you have to study positively every day. For example, you can read your favorite book every day and you can watch your favorite movies or dramas. It's difficult to study every day for us, but to read, watch and listen to your favorite, we can do it every day. The most important thing is how to study.
Next, I don't like to try to new things because I am afraid of making a mistakes, but I wanted to change my mind on this trip because my presentation day is coming soon, so I tried to do several new things during this trip. First, it's food. On the final day, I ate Mexican food for lunch, but I had never eaten it, so when I ordered it, I was really worried about the flavor. If it were tasteless, my money would be wasted, but it was really good. I had never eaten such delicious Mexican food. also, when I shopping, I spoke to the clerks as much as possible. Their English was very fast and had a lot of difficult words, so sometime I couldn't understand, but I spoke to them many times and tried to use my new vocabulary and sentences. When I can talk to them by using new vocabulary and sentences, I was really happy. I was satisfied with my new challenges.
Finally, I learned a lot about Oregon's history. At first, I was not interested in it, but when I went to a Oregon Historical Society museum, I heard detail about Oregon's history from a tour guide. It was very interesting for me. My best information was the symbolic animal of Oregon. The symbolic animal of Oregon was a beaver because it was very important for Oregon's people. Their economy was the beaver. They used it for animal fur like hat and coat. I had never known that each state has a symbolic animal. That fact was really fun for me. I thought when I learn about something, it is very important to learn actively.
I had a really wonderful time with many people. This trip was extremely great for me. I will never forget anything. This trip was a last trip while I live here, so I felt a little lonely.
