I had a lovely time during WSU visit on October 12. I have two great
memories in this Visiting. First of all, we went to really high mountain
before we went to WSU. Ron and Timothy took us there. I haven't been to
such a high mountain for long time, so it was truly impressive. I could
see some beautiful scenery from the top of the high mountain such as
trees and plains. The landscape made me think about the Southwest Trip
because I am about to go to Grand Canyon. I noticed that America has a
lot of geography features. There are city, ocean, mountains, rivers,
lakes and so on. We can see or experience that directly. I felt happy
that I am staying in the U.S.A.
Second, I enjoyed communicating with foreigner at WSU. They are Taiwanese, Chinese and Saudi. We are about same ages. A Taiwanese girl I met can speak Japanese a little. She is interested in Japan, because she likes Japanese comics and anime. We talked about our favorite comic a lot. I asked her " Why do you know Japanese words or sentences?". She answered me, "by Watching anime!" I was really surprised because of her knowledge of comics. I also felt comfortable speaking to her. Moreover, this Taiwanese girl was so kind. She can speak English very well, so I talked to her about a lot of things such as own country, her boyfriend, each of our lives in America and so on. When I talked to a Saudi man, I couldn't understand and hear their pronunciation. It was very different from our pronunciation. However, the Taiwanese girl supported us, so we could understand each other. Everybody were very talkative. One Saudi man is not good at English, but he tried to speak to me. I was really happy his attitude. After I returned my dormitory, I considered my own English and I felt that I can tell my opinion to people from another country. I don't have enough skills of vocabulary, grammar, listening and speaking, but we could share the same feelings. I was impressed by this. Visiting and communicating with international students was a cracking memory for me.
