My Totally Awesome Time on the Southwest Trip

Do you want to go to the southwest? I went on the southwest trip which was from October 9th to October 15th with my classmates. We went to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the Grand Canyon by airplanes and a bus. Each place was really pretty and I took a mountain of photographs. I had an absolutely fantastic time during the Southwest trip with my friends.

First of all, Albuquerque was so fun because I watched the Balloons Fiesta happily and I had a fun time at Old Town. The Balloons Fiesta was held early morning and I was freezing, but there was extremely awesome scenery. I was really lucky to go to the Balloons Fiesta because it was the first time to see something like this during the extension program. I was very impressed and took a lot of pictures and bought some pin badges for souvenirs. Also, Old Town has really nice adobe buildings, so it was exotic and I enjoyed the atmosphere and shopping. In addition, my friends and I ate spicy and very yummy Mexican food, such as Mexican wraps and Mexican tacos. That was my first time to eat the Mexican tacos.

Second, lots of museums during the Southwest Trip attracted me so much, because I knew the culture, language and so on. For example, the Folk and Art Museum had so many countries' things such as Chinese arts, Japanese arts, and Spanish arts. They were pretty but my favorite thing was the Chinese arts because they were unique patterns and really colorful. Also, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum was nice because I saw her artwork changed over time and got better and better. Her pictures were very colorful and unique. For example, her pictures have skulls, beautiful flowers, and Santa Fe’s scenery. Those moved me emotionally.

Third, the Grand Canyon was absolutely gorgeous, huge, and great. I had a dream to go to the Grand Canyon when I was a junior high school student, so I was so moved by seeing it. We had free time for 1 day, but it was not enough to explore the Grand Canyon. When I was at the Grand Canyon I couldn’t believe that I was standing on the Grand Canyon because it was amazing. My favorite museum at the Grand Canyon was Kolb Studio. There were pretty good paintings of the Grand Canyon that looked like photographs. Also, I watched the sunset two times at the Mother Point and Yavapai Museum. I watched the sunrise at the Mother Point as well. Those were amazingly gorgeous. The sky during the sunset was colored purple, pink and blue, so it impressed me.

In conclusion, the southwest trip made me totally happy and I made great memories. My favorite memories are from the Grand Canyon where I saw the sunrise and the sunset. I had a lot of awesome experiences with my friends and many wonderful photographs. I wish I could go to the southwest again.

My Valuable Southwest Trip

Last week, we took a trip to the Southwest for 7 days. This trip was an absolutely wonderful memory. I had never been to these areas so I was stimulated by every things, for example, cactus, adobe style buildings, Native American culture and amazing dessert views. It is one of the most interesting trips I ever took, because I experienced some rare things like visiting Grand Canyon, visiting high school and so on. On this trip I could understand about Indian culture from a folk art museum. I would like to introduce some my best memories on this Southwest trip. My first best memory is Georgia O’Keef museum. Actually, before this trip, I was not familiar with her and didn’t know about any of her artworks, but I was looking forward to visiting here because I like art museums. Her artworks were very unique, abstract and absolutely fabulous, and these were very fresh to me. I especially liked bone’s paintings which one of the most famous her artwork, because the color contrast is very c...

Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I went on a totally amazing Southwest trip with my classmates. The trip was my first time to go to the Southwest so everything was new to me. Sarah, Anikke and Bethany came with us. They made our trip more exciting. I’m happy I could go on this trip with them and I had a lot of great experiences. First, I really enjoyed New Mexico. It was chilly but not too cold. I went to the Old Town in  Albuquerque, New Mexico. I liked the Old Town because there are many cute things and good restaurants in there. For example, I found a gate that was decorated with a lot of red chili peppers. I had never seen anything like that before so I was very surprised and it looked like a lot of flowers from a distance. The red chili peppers were absolutely gorgeous. Not only that, I found a great restaurant. I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have really delicious Mexican food. They gave me some Mexican chips for free and recommended that I eat the chips with honey. I really like Mexican ...

Completely amazing trip

I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous. After that, we decided to rent a  bicycle but we changed our mind and because we had lots of time. Surprisingly, we walked 10 miles aro...
