My Precious Memories in South West

I made wonderful memories that will last my lifetime in the South West with my friends. I have never been to the South West, so I got good experiences, especially in Santa Fe,at the Balloon Festival, and at the Grand Canyon. I really enjoyed this trip and I wanted to continue my time there. I think this trip was the best experience in my life.
Beautiful Santa Fe store
First, I was looking forward to going to Santa Fe, because before visiting there, I studied that Santa Fe is an art town, so I wanted to see a lot of arts. Actually, there were a lot of arts. There were any and every very beautiful arts that I have  never seen. When I walked around Santa Fe in free time, I could find many art galleries. I didn't go inside, but I could feel that they were expensive, so If  I got money someday, I would want to buy art in Santa Fe. Also, I really wanted to get turquoise, because It is famous stone in Santa Fe, so I wanted to find it for my friend and me. I looked for my favorite one for two days. I was trouble to find very much. There were a lot of marvelous outside stores with eye-catching products, so I couldn’t decide to buy them at first, but I was able to buy my favorite one after looking for so long, so I am looking forward to give her my souvenir.
Fantastic Balloon Festival
Second, I saw a fantastic scene at the balloon festival. I got up early, so it was too cold, but I had a good experience. While waiting for the balloons, I went around to some stores and killed time. I was bored and cold while the festival was starting, so I thought that I wanted to return to the hotel and sleep, but it became brighter gradually and the appearance of balloons going up one after another was a masterpiece. All balloons were colorful and cute as they were in various shapes, so I didn’t get tired of seeing balloons. This scenery was fantastic like being in a dream, so it was worth waiting in the cold. I could approach the balloons and see them going up. Also I took a lot of pictures near by balloons. It was bitter cold, but I could see marvelous landscape.
Fabulous Grand Canyon
Third, there was a place where I will never forget my memories for the rest of my life, the Grand Canyon. It was very huge and beautiful, so I really felt emotion, because I could see wonderful color gradation. I was speechless about the Grand Canyon. I rented a bicycle to see wonderful views, but I was worried because it was a little expensive. However, I think renting was the right answer as I could feel good winds with cycling. I thought that cycling would be the best way to see this overseas American world heritage. I can boast about my Grand Canyon memories with my friends when I come back to Japan. Also I could see a glorious sunrise and sunset. I got up early both days at the Grand Canyon like I did for the balloon festival, so it was so freezing. I have never seen sunrise and sunset in Japan, so this time was for the first time. I think that I was pleased that I got my first experience in the Grand Canyon, so I really had a valuable experience. Sunrise and sunset created a different ground color than what we saw at noontime. This was an enjoyable time to remember at the Grand Canyon.

In conclusion, I had a great time in the South West with my friends and I had a lot of good memories. Also, I could learn many cultures in the South West. It was different, so I felt the freshness of new cultures and places. I like the atmosphere in the South West. I really enjoyed arts, the festival and nature. This trip was truly memorable in my mind. I didn’t have enough money, so I want to visit the South West again.

Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I went on a totally amazing Southwest trip with my classmates. The trip was my first time to go to the Southwest so everything was new to me. Sarah, Anikke and Bethany came with us. They made our trip more exciting. I’m happy I could go on this trip with them and I had a lot of great experiences. First, I really enjoyed New Mexico. It was chilly but not too cold. I went to the Old Town in  Albuquerque, New Mexico. I liked the Old Town because there are many cute things and good restaurants in there. For example, I found a gate that was decorated with a lot of red chili peppers. I had never seen anything like that before so I was very surprised and it looked like a lot of flowers from a distance. The red chili peppers were absolutely gorgeous. Not only that, I found a great restaurant. I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have really delicious Mexican food. They gave me some Mexican chips for free and recommended that I eat the chips with honey. I really like Mexican ...

Fabulous Southwest Trip

The Southwest trip was absolutely amazing because I leaned the culture of the area a lot. I spent 7 days in the southwest and I impressed by people who live there and by their culture. These things were totally different from Japan and the people there preserved their traditions carefully. I talk to a lot of Americans and I saw wonderful nature during the trip. There are three absolutely wonderfu and amazing places that I enjoyed.     First, I went to a lot of museums and all of them were very interesting. I especially liked The Museum of International Folk Art. The museum has more than 130,000 objects from more than 100 countries! My favorite object was a smiling skeleton doll. This object’s theme was Day of The Dead. When I saw it, I remembered COCO which is a Pixar movie. I also liked The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist and she painted a lot of flowers and nature. I think her paintings are brimming with kindness ...

Completely amazing trip

I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous. After that, we decided to rent a  bicycle but we changed our mind and because we had lots of time. Surprisingly, we walked 10 miles aro...
