Do you know Kukai? Kukai is the founder of Japanese Shingon Buddhism and one of
the most famous Buddhist monks in Japan, and all Japanese people know him. In
804, Kukai went to China to study Buddhism and brought it to Japan. It’s
interesting to know about his life because Kukai’s life was a little different
from other monks. His innovative teaching is easy to understand,
but it has a deep meaning. Kukai has many legends, and there are many temples and places related to him. He was trusted
by everyone. Kukai died, but he is still alive in people’s minds. This
presentation will be about Kukai’s life, his innovative teaching and his fabulous
achievements.
