Wonderful Southwest trip

On October 12th to 18th I had a really wonderful time at South west trip. We visited New Mexico and Arizona states, every thing was wonderful.

Santa Fe
First is Santa Fe. This city is one of my favorite part in this trip. I have a few reasons why I like Santa Fe.First of all, I like atmosphere of this city. There are many traditional buildings called adobe. Adobe is flesh color or blown ,looks smooth and match beautiful weather. Also, almost gift shops, restaurant in Santa Fe is located this Adobe. Second is Jewelries.In the Santa Fe, some of Native Americans selling Jewelries which made themselves on the streets. Almost jewelries are turquoise or silver. Also they has a pierced earrings, rings, necklace,bracelets,and pendants. If we would like to buy this from them, we can negotiate price with them, and can discount. this is one of my favorite part too.  Finally is old buildings. In Santa Fe, we visited a few old buildings, The Loretto chapel,The san miguel mission, Saint francis catheadral. Every buildings are old and beautiful,but my most favorite building is The san miguel mission. Because this church is the most old church in the United states.

Sky City
Second is Sky city. It as known as  Acoma  pueblo which Native American live. I was really surprised because this city sits on top of a high mesa. And There has a 250 family home. Also I was surprised when I saw a view from this village. It can see only natures, rocks, ground,and few trees. Then we can enter the old church. It was also amazing, because its colorful than I expect. and still retain in these days. Also at the sky city, few Native American people selling items such as pottery. These pottery has a unique design,and there has a different meaning. For example, If painted lizard on pottery, is means good luck. So It was interested for me. Also, they sells bread, necklace and another items made by them selves. Another my interested things is, their houses, It made third floor and they use ladder to go up. This Sky city also makes me surprised.
Grand Canyon
Finally is Grand Canyon. It was Just Stunning. I have just watched on TV at once Grand Canyon. Even watch on TV, scale is big but fact, I feel the earth. Actually, weather was not so good, but I can saw great view , also I can saw Colorado river .There has a different point, Yaki point, Hopi point, Mother point, Yavapai point, and Mohave point. All point can see wonderful view ,but personally I like Mother point. Because there has unique rock in this point. So looks special for me. And Grand Canyon has also visitor center so, I can leaned a lot of things about Grand canyon.such as how to created Grand canyon. Also at night We can saw Beautiful Milky way. It was really cold, but I can saw shooting stars! It was like fantasy scenery, I was impressed.
It was one of great experience of my life, I'd like to visit again in my future!

Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I went on a totally amazing Southwest trip with my classmates. The trip was my first time to go to the Southwest so everything was new to me. Sarah, Anikke and Bethany came with us. They made our trip more exciting. I’m happy I could go on this trip with them and I had a lot of great experiences. First, I really enjoyed New Mexico. It was chilly but not too cold. I went to the Old Town in  Albuquerque, New Mexico. I liked the Old Town because there are many cute things and good restaurants in there. For example, I found a gate that was decorated with a lot of red chili peppers. I had never seen anything like that before so I was very surprised and it looked like a lot of flowers from a distance. Fabulous Southwest Trip

    The Southwest trip was absolutely amazing because I leaned the culture of the area a lot. I spent 7 days in the southwest and I impressed by people who live there and by their culture. These things were totally different from Japan and the people there preserved their traditions carefully. I talk to a lot of Americans and I saw wonderful nature during the trip. There are three absolutely wonderfu and amazing places that I enjoyed.     First, I went to a lot of museums and all of them were very interesting. I especially liked The Museum of International Folk Art. The museum has more than 130,000 objects from more than 100 countries! My favorite object was a smiling skeleton doll. This object’s theme was Day of The Dead. When I saw it, I remembered COCO which is a Pixar movie. I also liked The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist and she painted a lot of flowers and nature. I think her paintings are brimming with kindness ...

Completely amazing trip

I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous.
