I went to Washington State University on September 25th. It is far from MFWI, so I slept on the bus. When I arrived there, I was surprised because it is very big. Then, I went to the level 3 class, and I talked with the students. They are from Taiwan, China, and Saudi Arabia. I enjoyed talking with them, but a Chinese man didn’t talk with us well. I don’t know why, but maybe it is not good between Japan and China because of the Senkaku archipelago problem. I think that Japanese people are unpatriotic and practical about everything, but Chinese people are patriotic, so he didn’t want to talk with us. Next, we had lunch with them. The dining room has a lot of food, but I felt MWU dining room is bigger than there. I met on of the Japanese student while I had lunch, and I talked with him. He is a Kansai Foreign language University student. I know this university because some of my friends go there. He came there to study abroad 1 month ago, and it is the university program. I envy him because he always talks with foreigners. I am trying to speak English with my Japanese friends, but I don’t know whether my pronunciation is good or bad. I think this program is very good, but I am a little worry about whether my pronunciation will be better. Next, they took us out on a campus tour. We went to a library and a museum. I can’t believe the university has a museum. Then, we took pictures and we became friends on Facebook. After that, Lon brought us to an ice cream shop. It is very good! I was tired because I walked for a long time. Through the days, I want to improve my pronunciation, and I want to talk with people from around the world.
I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous. After that, we decided to rent a bicycle but we changed our mind and because we had lots of time. Surprisingly, we walked 10 miles aro...
