A few weeks ago, I was worried about my presentation on December 4 because I had no confidence in my pronunciation. However, I am not so nervous now because I talked with many people about my worries and my topic, homelessness, and I was relieved from them.
First of all, Jill said to us, “The goal of your presentation is not perfect. No one ever died during their presentation!” Your messages always make me happy and relaxed. Thank you. Secondly, I discussed homelessness with Goro. It was my first time to talk with him about my topic, and in the beginning, it was difficult to speak in English about homelessness. However, he listened kindly and gave me good opinions. One of them was that, “You should say the definition of homeless before you talk about them.” In my presentation, I will say the word “homeless”, but it is not clear if I don’t explain the definition of it. It was my new idea, and I didn’t notice that I should say it. Thirdly, I explained my presentation to my group members. They like to study at our tutorial room, so almost every day, some of them study there. Yesterday, I spoke about the homeless. They said to me they were surprised because I said it fluently. Also, they were interested in homelessness, so I was very happy!
I will practice speaking with my friends and teachers for my presentation, and talk about my topic with many kinds of people. And finally, I really want to give a great presentation with Yuka and Rieko, and make myself understood in English during my presentation. I will practice more and more because my presentation about homelessness with my partners is only one time! I can do it because I have wonderful friends and teachers!
