I am having a great time in America now. I can grasp much more invaluable opportunity than in Japan. I visited two schools and joined in events called Talk Time. I could use English and make great friends on those days.
First, it will be my unforgettable memory that I talked with a Saudi Arabian when I visited Washington State University. I was impressed by her. Her first language and my first language are not the same, but we could talk using English. We talked about our own countries. I didn't know about Saudi Arabia well, but she told me her own country's culture such as clothes, language and so on. In her country, they have country dialects. We also have a country dialects in Japan. We learned the same culture between us, however, if we hadn't studied English, we couldn't know each other. That's why I was moved by our talking.
Second, I had a diverting time when I visited Lewis and Clark High School. I met my pen pal and talked with him. His father is Japanese, but his father can't speak Japanese, so the student is studying Japanese. He often spoke to me in Japanese and his Japanese was nice. I spoke to him in English, so we could teach our own language to each other. I thought it was a great chance.
Finally, I really found joy in talking with a lot of native speakers and ESL students when I participated in the Talk Time at the church. I had a good opportunity to speak English a lot. I could talk about not only studying but also shopping, weather, weekend plans, and so on. I also could make some new friends and I thought I wanted to talk about more things. That made me want to try harder. That day was special for me.
In conclusion, I'm really enjoying my time in Spokane. There are many things that I can't experience in Japan. These things are irreplaceable memories for me. I want to make more memories in America.
