Meaningful Points for My Dream!!!

Do you know how many days we have until we go back to Japan? I hurried to find out!!! We have only 42 days to be here. It was unforeseen!! I worry about my English language proficiency, on the other hand, recently I often think about my future. I am not sure, but so far my dream is to be a teacher. I respect all of my teachers, but recently I am starting to respect them more, because I like their classes in America and start to know them well. For example, they enjoy teaching, try to understand us, and I notice how teaching is hard. I leaned not only English but also very momentous things from them for my dream.

First, I live a full life in America besides hanging out, because I like classes in America, and I can enjoy them. Our teachers look they enjoy teaching, so I can enjoy learning also. I always consider they try to make classes we can enjoy. I catch it and I am able to study more. I did not feel it in Japan, and I noticed interesting classes are very important for students, because we can not improve if we feel classes are boring. If I am able to be a teacher, I would follow their example, and I would try to make a good atmosphere and exciting classes.

Next, I am an extension student, so teachers we take class is decided for us. In addition, we have office hour, so I can get time to talk with my teachers. When I know about office hour, I thought what it is, because we didn’t use office hour in Japan. However, I love office hour and it is awesome!! For instance, we can know about our teacher and their ideas about classes, we can ask something if we have a question, and also we suggest something if we have some ideas. Especially, it is a second time to come here to study English, and we are desperate to study. Therefore, I was very joyful to talk about many things such as studying and our life with our teachers, because their office hour makes cheers up me and these are good relationships between us and our teachers. I thought I want to have office hour if I become a teacher.

Finally, I am a student, so I always learn something from my teachers. However we have many opportunities to teach something and to be a teacher during this semester, and I noticed how wonderful and hard people my teachers are!! When we will be a teacher in the class, we have to prepare and comprehend what we will teach. I spend a lot of time for it, and I noticed how hard teaching is. I respected my teacher when I was thinking they were doing them everyday. However, I noticed one more thing!!  I was enjoying being a teacher, and I was glad to see other student’s reaction. For example, they sometimes laugh and are surprised when I teach something, and I feel my success to see them. It is very hard to be a teacher and the job is also, but also teacher is an interesting job. I had many valuable experiences through teaching, and it will be my asset for my future.   

I noticed again how hard it is to be a teacher is, and also I noticed extremely crucial things from them. I can not be a teacher if I do not like teaching, and, in addition it meaningful to understand students to be a teacher who is my ideal teacher. Luckily, my teachers let me show them, and also they gave me practice teaching. Through classes in America, I noticed not only English but also indispensable points, and they will be my assets for my future.

Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I went on a totally amazing Southwest trip with my classmates. The trip was my first time to go to the Southwest so everything was new to me. Sarah, Anikke and Bethany came with us. They made our trip more exciting. I’m happy I could go on this trip with them and I had a lot of great experiences. First, I really enjoyed New Mexico. It was chilly but not too cold. I went to the Old Town in  Albuquerque, New Mexico. I liked the Old Town because there are many cute things and good restaurants in there. For example, I found a gate that was decorated with a lot of red chili peppers. I had never seen anything like that before so I was very surprised and it looked like a lot of flowers from a distance. Fabulous Southwest Trip

    The Southwest trip was absolutely amazing because I leaned the culture of the area a lot. I spent 7 days in the southwest and I impressed by people who live there and by their culture. These things were totally different from Japan and the people there preserved their traditions carefully. I talk to a lot of Americans and I saw wonderful nature during the trip. There are three absolutely wonderfu and amazing places that I enjoyed.     First, I went to a lot of museums and all of them were very interesting. I especially liked The Museum of International Folk Art. The museum has more than 130,000 objects from more than 100 countries! My favorite object was a smiling skeleton doll. This object’s theme was Day of The Dead. When I saw it, I remembered COCO which is a Pixar movie. I also liked The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist and she painted a lot of flowers and nature. I think her paintings are brimming with kindness ...

Completely amazing trip

I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous.
