My Battlefield, MFWI.

Since I came back here, Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute, I have realized many different things from last spring semester. I want tell you about mainly three things.

Beautiful Campus
First, I was impressed by the weather in Spokane. I love this weather because a day is hot and a night is cool. I like to take walks, so this weather is really good for me. However, I thought again Spokane is dry and I have a sore throat every time I wake up.

Second, extension students can speak English more fluently than me, so I was at a loss about my conversation skill. However I thought that it is a good chance for me to speak English. I want to use English only style in our house and our room. This is one of my most important goals this term. Also, Extension students have stronger goals respectively than last semester. Everyone makes an effort to make it come true.

Third, I thought a attitude of Extension teachers were changed. The reason why I thought it is that our teacher said to us, "We want to treat you as an academic student in the U.S.". This phrase made me a little nervous because this phrase means that I have to do everything as an academic student in the U.S.. I don't know what I should. Can I do that? I really perplexed, but  I thought that teachers expect us to improve our skills and reach our goals.

In conclusion, I realized many different things between last spring semester and this fall semester through the weather, Extension members and teachers. Everything which have changed is better than last semester for me, so I thought I have to do my best here.

My Valuable Southwest Trip

Last week, we took a trip to the Southwest for 7 days. This trip was an absolutely wonderful memory. I had never been to these areas so I was stimulated by every things, for example, cactus, adobe style buildings, Native American culture and amazing dessert views. It is one of the most interesting trips I ever took, because I experienced some rare things like visiting Grand Canyon, visiting high school and so on. On this trip I could understand about Indian culture from a folk art museum. I would like to introduce some my best memories on this Southwest trip. My first best memory is Georgia O’Keef museum. Actually, before this trip, I was not familiar with her and didn’t know about any of her artworks, but I was looking forward to visiting here because I like art museums. Her artworks were very unique, abstract and absolutely fabulous, and these were very fresh to me. I especially liked bone’s paintings which one of the most famous her artwork, because the color contrast is very c...

Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I went on a totally amazing Southwest trip with my classmates. The trip was my first time to go to the Southwest so everything was new to me. Sarah, Anikke and Bethany came with us. They made our trip more exciting. I’m happy I could go on this trip with them and I had a lot of great experiences. First, I really enjoyed New Mexico. It was chilly but not too cold. I went to the Old Town in  Albuquerque, New Mexico. I liked the Old Town because there are many cute things and good restaurants in there. For example, I found a gate that was decorated with a lot of red chili peppers. I had never seen anything like that before so I was very surprised and it looked like a lot of flowers from a distance. The red chili peppers were absolutely gorgeous. Not only that, I found a great restaurant. I forgot the name of the restaurant but they have really delicious Mexican food. They gave me some Mexican chips for free and recommended that I eat the chips with honey. I really like Mexican ...

Completely amazing trip

I had a good time visiting the Southwest USA with Extension students from 15 to 21, October. It was an education trip and I experienced new things and there was a lot of nature which is comfortable for me. I was looking forward to going on the Southwest trip for a long time. I have image that the Southwest is very hot but this place was cold than Spokane. It was interesting that the temperature was totally different in the same place. There were three emotions that I experienced on this trip. First, I was moved by the beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon. It is absolutely enormous. When I look down the cliff, I remembered the teacher's caution for us that there are lots of people who die and I scared. I and my roommate wanted to see the sunrise so we tried to got up at 4:00 a.m. and then we could see the sunrise which was really fabulous. After that, we decided to rent a  bicycle but we changed our mind and because we had lots of time. Surprisingly, we walked 10 miles aro...
