My fabulous WSU partners!!

My amazing partners!
I had wonderful communication with WSU students on Tuesday. The extension students went to WSU and we met many students who are learning English in the Language Center. They study English because they want to enter WSU as the students. They came from many countries and they study English very hard because they have strong motivation. My partners were Taiwanese and they spoke English very fluently. We talked about many things, such as their own countries and language. In Taiwan, they told me that Chinese is spoken. I know Chinese a little bit so they were surprised to hear that. Also, when we talked about Disney, I found that the word Disney is pronoun the same is Chinese and Japanese. I didn’t remember how they said it but pronunciation had many points of similarity. Also, They said they can understand Kanji because Japanese use it. I thought language is interesting. Also, to find some similarities between Japanese and other languages is very fun. I taught them some Japanese. One of the boy students likes girls very much so I taught them “Charao” which means that man who likes girls in Japanese. I was just kidding but his nickname became Charao finally. We laughed the whole time at WSU so I had a fabulous conversation with them!

We had unbelievable lunch experience at WSU. When we went to the cafeteria with our partners, we were surprised because the cafeteria was a buffet-style! I had never seen this kind of cafeteria so I was impressed. Also, we could have a free ticket of food so I chose a lot of delicious foods. I found a cake and ice cream so I added them, of course! Everyone asked whether I could eat everything. In fact, I could eat everything except the french fries. When I ate all the food, everyone suddenly added their French fries to my plate! I was surprised and asked to eat their but they didn’t eat them. Also, they said I didn’t have to leave food because it was American rules! It wasn’t fair but they helped me to eat a little bit. Moreover, I surprised where we put a plate when we finished eating the lunch. There was big machine and we just put a plate on the machine. At MWU, we have to wash dishes a little bit and put them on the conveyor. It was interesting for us! I thought how convenient it was! It was a very impressive experience at WSU, too!

As you can see, I had a fabulous opportunity at WSU. To have conversation is very important for us to learn English and cultures. I want to go there again if I can!

Neccesary Shopping

I can do amazing shopping in the U.S. I don’t actually go shopping so often in Japan because I don’t want to spend money. However, I can’t help buying things here. One of the reasons I love the U.S. is shopping. I am so excited to go shopping here more than in Japan. A shopping in America is fantastic for three reasons. My Favorite Clothes of Holister First of all, there are many kinds of shops in Spokane. That means I have many choices to buy something. In Japan, I can’t buy easily things I want because Japan doesn’t have my favorite shops. In addition, I have to pay more in Japan than in America. If someone asks me my recommendation in America, I’d introduce incredible shops, such as Hollister , Bath and Body , Victoria’s Secret , and American Eagle , and Yankee. These shops are highly famous in the U.S, and I can't buy products of Hollister and Bath and body and Victoria’s Secret in Japan except online shopping. The other thing, I can visit other shops in Japan, but I’m s...

My Tremendous Portland Trip

Have you ever been to Portland? I could learn a lot of things in Portland. I like Portland so much. Especially, I enjoyed Portland English Language Academy, McLoughlin House and Powell's City of Books.      First, Portland English Language Academy was an enjoyable place for me. Before I entered the class, I was really nervous, because I can't keep talking with people whom I meet for the first time. However, this time was totally different. I had an activity of conversation to talk with every student. It made me comfortable. After that activity, I had a conversation about students' research such as selfie and future jobs. It was really interesting for me because I could hear various opinions about that. Then, the teacher recommended international students to talk about three favorite places in Portland. I learned more about Portland. Those activities were really helpful for me to talk with international students.   ...

My Precious Experience

The Awesome View at the Fair I have been having a good time since I came here. The teachers, RAs and staff at MFWI welcomed us warmly, so I was very happy and I am also happy now. My life at MFWI is little different from the last semester, but I'm really enjoying this life. Anyway, we went to  the Spokane Interstate Fair  on Tuesday, and I had wonderful experiences that I had never experienced before. The food was very appetizing. First, I was very hungry when we arrived there, so I ate a funnel cake, a big piece of chicken and some pizza. I had never eaten such a big cake and a piece of chicken, so I was excited and happy to eat them. They were very tasty, so I wanted to eat more food. Then, I noticed that a difference between America and Japan. Japanese festivals or fairs also have many branch stores and the food they serve...
