My first day of class was
fantastic!! I'm really excited about joining the Extension program. One
of the reasons why I am excited about joining the Extension program is
because I like to study English in American style classes. In Japan,
students must sit down in their own chair, take a note, listen to
teacher's lecture, and be very quiet in the classroom. In my case, I'm a
very bad student in university. I am asleep during the class, because
it is very boring for me. Especially, after lunch. I'm full and there
are good temperature in the classroom, so it is easy for me to fall
asleep during the class. However, In the U.S. Student must be pay
attention, be positive, and active during the class. Almost all Japanese
hesitate to make a mistake, because they think that is ashameful when
they make a mistake, including me. However, MFWI teachers always say to
us "If you make a mistake, it's okay. You will improve your skill when
you make a mistake." I think it is very different between Japan and the
U.S. There are many high level students among Extension member, but I
also join in Extension program. I will try to change my mind for the
Extension program. I don't hesitate now. I am not sleeping during the
classes now, because I am focusing on English. I think that I want to
improve my English skills once more. I am having a great time in every
class.
