Unforgettable Southwest Culture Memories

On the Southwest trip, my most favorite experiences are visiting wonderful Acoma Pueblo, the San Miguel chapel, Grand Canyon and eating many great Mexican food and going to these places with my best friends.           The premium Acoma Pueblo is one of my favorite and memorable places. Before I went to Acoma Pueblo, I was looking forward to going there because the people are wonderful and so is the culture so I wanted to come in touch with a different culture. I wore sunglasses when I went there because the place was very bright and felt as if my body was going to melt because of the heat. My friend said you should take off the sunglasses, so I removed them. As a result, I could see the beautiful scenery and I felt like my existence was an insignificant blip in the world. I’ll never forget Acoma Pueblo’s mystical, magnificent and beautiful view.           This is one of my favorite view at the lovely Grand Canyon. I have never seen such a colorful, beautiful and mag

I had wonderful southwest trip. I was impressed by many places, such as Grand Canyon , Santa Fe , Acoma, Pueblo and so on. I could learn many things about histories of New Mexico and Arizona. I was not interesting to these histories at first but now my mind changed completely after I went there. These histories excited me because these cultures were very different between northwest and southwest. Its trip became special memory for me. There were three places that were most interesting to me. My Great Native American Friends At first, Acoma school excited me. It is kind of school for Native American, so there were many Native American students in there and then its school have various grades from about 9 to 17 years old. It was in middle of desert, so there are not any other building around the school. I ate lunch with its students. Their English was very difficult to understand. They also couldn’t understand our English well, so it was difficult to communicate with them. Their

My Unforgettable Southwest Trip

I had a satisfied time that I have never had. I went to Southwest with Extension students on October 10th through the 16th. This trip was a valuable experience for me, and I impressed some places. Wonderful place, Santa Fe First of all, Santa Fe was memorable place. Santa Fe is a capital city in New Mexico and the oldest city in U.S.A. Therefore, this city had a historical atmosphere. I went to three churches. These churches were very wonderful, but each museum has a quality all its own. I especially like Loretto Chapel , because there was a beautiful spiral staircase. Long ago, angels descended from the sky to top of the spiral staircase. I thought I’d like to hold my wedding ceremony such a fabulous chapel When I heard the story. After that, I went shopping with my friends around Palace of the Governors. There were many booths in the place. I bought pierced earrings for my friends. Those lovely pierced earrings are made sea shell. I’m pleased with them immediately. In additio

Great sunset in Santa Fe Southwest trip was great and amazing experience for me. All extension students visited New Mexico and Arizona states through October 10th to 16th. We learned Native American culture, saw historical buildings, visited many museums and ate delicious local food. I was impressed by three things; beautiful town Santa Fe, fabulous nature Grand Canyon and fantastic local food. First, I was impressed by Santa Fe . There are three reasons why I was moved Santa Fe. This city is the oldest capital city and also the third largest art market in the United States. Meaning of Santa Fe is “Holy Faith.” First of all, I saw a lot of jewelries included turquoise, silver and gold in Santa Fe. I wanted to buy turquoise pierced earrings for myself and souvenirs but that were too expensive for me, so I gave up to purchase them. However I bought two pierced earrings which were not turquoise but cheaper than it. I like them! Second, I visited some old churches. My favorite church

However, I went to many places such as Santa Fe, Grand canyon, the high school and the University in New Mexico. I talked with the local people and talking with students who live in New Mexico. Therefore, I could feel different cultures and could learn a lot of things about New Mexico. In addition, there were many unique items such as turquoise necklaces and bracelets, so I could enjoy shopping and could buy souvenirs for my family. For these reasons, I want to introduce about my 3 great experiences in this trip.  The first of my view at Grand Canyon First of all, my best place of the trip was Grand Canyon , because I enjoyed to see the views of Grand Canyon, which was too beautiful to put into words. I thought that I saw just like a beautiful picture and I
