My First Marvelous class day

My wonderful textbooks My first day of class was fantastic!! I'm really excited about joining the Extension program. One of the reasons why I am excited about joining the Extension program is because I like to study English in American style classes. In Japan, students must sit down in their own chair, take a note, listen to teacher's lecture, and be very quiet in the classroom. In my case, I'm a very bad student in university. I am asleep during the class, because it is very boring for me. Especially, after lunch. I'm full and there are good temperature in the classroom, so it is easy for me to fall asleep during the class. However, In the U.S. Student must be pay attention, be positive, and active during the class. Almost all Japanese hesitate to make a mistake, because they think that is ashameful when they make a mistake, including me. However, MFWI teachers always say to us "If you make a mistake, it's okay. You will improve your skill wh

The astonishing idea!

Exciting time in the bus to the fair! I had the stupefying discovery in Spokane County Interstate Fair last Wednesday. It was the first time for me to go to fair in America, so I saw all the things which fascinated my interest. During summer vacation, I went to a summer fireworks festival in Ashiya city, but I am used to going to the Japanese festival. I didn't have more interesting things doing summer. However, I really like festivals, events and fair, so I was looking forward to going this fair. My teacher who is Brenda suggested that I tried to eat a elephant ear. When I have heard the first the name , so I doubted her words. I had never heard such a kind of food, I imagined a real elephant ear. I thought it was terrible food, I couldn't believe it. After I asked her many questions about the elephant ear, I knew this like a real elephant ear. I was really relieved. After all, I ate the elephant ear at the fair. It was very delicious. When I bought it, a

The awsome amusement!

I enjoyed going Spokane County Fair with all students of MFWI . Everything I saw felt was fresh and new for me. I love thrill ride so much! But, At first, I thought that because these ride are a little small, can I really enjoy them? In fact, I looked down on these ride. These were so awesome because these looks scary!! The upside-down roll coaster made my blood up and another ride went faster, so the pressure made me so crazy! After riding them, It was impossible to stand straight and keep smiling. Some day, I am sure that these crazy rides will change good memory for me in the future. Before I went there, My teacher recommended the elephant ear because it is famous there. The moment I hear the name, I misunderstood that it is the real the elephant ear, what a fool I am! Actually, We ate a lot of delicious food such as cheese cake of Huckleberry, pie with full of fresh cream, fluffy waffle and broiled chicken. Of course, we ate an elephant ear too! This was twice the si

Fly to The Sky

I CANNOT BREATH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those were my first word when I rode a roller coaster at the Spokane County Interest Fair on Wednesday. It was a fantastic amusement park. Have you ever been there? However, there were not only curious attractions but also food a court which had so many kinds of foods, such as Italian, Iranian, Mexican, Chinese, German, Russian and, of course American. At first, I did not have any eagerness to go. Moreover, I was worried about getting my homework done. Nevertheless, my feeling was gradually changing on the way to the fair in the van. My friends and I just start singing without thinking like Karaoke, and we enjoyed singing the whole time until we arrived at the amusement park. It took more than a 30 minutes drive to get there, but time went fast. When we arrived near the amusement park, my eyes caught the Ferris wheel! Then, my feelings were going up. I stood up soon from the seat when our van arrived there. We had enough time, 2 hours to experience with ma

My worst day!!!!!

Fabulous Spokane Fair I had a very ridiculous day yesterday. I went to the Spokane Fair with many students. When I saw many attractions at the fair, I was excited because I like to ride screaming machines except for those free fall machines! When I go to amusement parks, I usually go to these kind at first so when I arrived at the fair on Wednesday, I bought unlimited ticket immediately and we rode so fantastic rides. A first ride was small and people who got on it didn't scream and they just laughed. I thought this one was fun…? However, it was so scary and we screamed a whole time! Everyone was dizzy but it was such an exciting ride! After we rode it, Shizuka, Arisa and I rode a free fall ride. I didn't like to ride this kind of ride but I bought the unlimited ticket so I decided to ride it. When we went up it, I saw beautiful view of Spokane! However, It was so high!! I couldn't see the view thoroughly. We said "High!! High!!! It's scary!!!". During th

Unforgettable Tuesday Afternoon

I have been in America for ten days, and I’m happy to come back here to see my dearest teachers, RAs and host family. Classes have just begun from this Monday, and I enjoy taking them with my energetic extension members. I especially had an exciting Tuesday afternoon in the conversation class on this week. That is because I had a stimulating language and culture day for the first time in the Extension Program. I met nine great guests who are from Spokane community. It was significant time for me because I didn’t have enough chances to see local people in the Regular Program, so I had so much fun to communicate with them. I had a chance to talk with Chika, Eric, Rachel and Nayeli. All stories that I heard from them were so interesting and attracting; moreover, I have one story that remain in my mind deeply, Chika’s. Chika, Christopher’s wife and Jill’s past student at Eastern Washington University told me a dramatic story. She is a very polite person and has gentle characteristics. I a
